I'm Thankful for Suprises

Don't you love a good surprise?  I know I do.  Well, some would argue that I don't. (my hubby)  In all fairness, I do like to be aware of what is going on.  I don't like bad surprises.

Well, I received a card in the mail this last week.  It really was a simple note.  A collection of friends and co-workers signed it.  But it meant the world to me, talk about a wonderful surprise.

The card also reminded me of how thankful I am for friends.  Even those I haven't seen in 6 months or more.

A card in the mail is MUCH different than a surprise party with 50 people in your living room, especially since it, if you didn't know about it, probably isn't properly cleaned. So you come home from working, and you're exhausted all you want to do is put your legs up and eat carrot sticks and watch reruns of "Eureka," and all of the sudden, there's 50 people screaming at you and you have to amuse them all. Ugh. I don't like that kind of surprise either.
