Master Bedroom Paint Reveal

Remember when I said we were painting?  Well, we did it.  I struggled a bit with choosing a color.  You know how sometimes there is a "right" choice?  Then there is the choice you want to make but everyone tries to talk you out of it and deep down your afraid to make it because you know it isn't safe.  Well, that's the choice I made.  The color I wanted, but was afraid to choose.  I chose it.  And I couldn't be happier.

Here is the terrible before:

 And the afters:

Yes, we re-arranged furniture.  Get used to it, its my hobby.

I adore the color.  We went with Gray Wolf by Benjamin Moore and had it color matched to a low-VOC paint by Olympic.  I love how the white trim contrasts with the walls, I can't wait to update the bedding (still dreaming of all white) and we'd love to get a larger bed (fingers crossed for a canopy bed similar to Pottery Barn), and of course something needs to dress up the walls.  Eventually real nightstands and lamps would be nice, maybe a bench or trunk at the end of the bed, and a large floor mirror.  A girl can dream, right?  For now, I am thankful for my cozy gray bedroom, even if it hard to photograph.

So what do you think?   Do you like the risky choice?

Is grey really risky? I thought it was super in right now. Haha. I actually am a huge fan of the grey walls, but it has to be a good grey to avoid looking like prison walls. I think yours looks great! What are you going to put on the walls? Do you have any prints or paintings or portraits picked out?

gray isn't risky, but the darker version i went with is (for me). i resisted gray for a while because it is really popular at the moment, but i love it , so might as well go with it. as for the walls, i have a few wedding pictures and some watercolors that need framed, but i thing i need something larger. so i guess im still working on it.

Yeah, we have more wall space here than ever before, so I've been trying to figure out something for all our walls, too. I was hoping you'd have a really awesome idea I could steal. Haha.

BTW...I love dark color on walls, as long as there's enough light and space to pull it off. I think it looks great!

That looks great, Molly! The color looks awesome with your linens. You have a pretty good flair for decorating. :)

Ohhhh I like it! It looks like a nice warm gray. I painted my bedroom gray and I did love the outcome...the color I chose was too gray-blue. I'm working with it through, since I'm too lazy to repaint....

I'm sorry...lemme clarify.... I actually did NOT love the outcome of my paint choice LOL! I'm remembering your color name for the future.

Oh Rachael, I'm sorry yours didn't turn out well. Its a bummer when you work so hard and despise how it turns out.
