New House, the Main Level

Ready for the main level house tour?  I thought so.

Welcome to our new house! (fingers crossed for smooth closing)  This is the view from front door.  Adorable children don't convey, we had to provide our own.

My light and airy dining room.  The doorway leads to the kitchen, the door is my pantry.

Front part of dining room, also could be living room.  Don't you love the chair rail?

Laundry room.  Also has door to garage and under-the-stairs storage closet.  I have big plans for that closet.

Powder room across the hall from laundry room.  Love the pedestal sink.

View from breakfast area, through kitchen to dining room.  Counter-top is silestone.  We are thinking about switching out the stove for a gas one.  Anyone want a new never used electric smooth-top stove?

View of kitchen from family room.

Family room from kitchen.  The doorway leads to the master bedroom.

Another view of family room from breakfast area.  I'm excited about the gas fireplace, but mainly the mantle.  I can't wait to seasonally decorate the mantle.

Master bedroom, view from bathroom.  Its not a huge room, but will serve its purpose.  Hopefully, my four poster canopy bed will fit in here someday.

Another angle of master bedroom.

Master bathroom.  I didn't even notice the medicine cabinet until I uploaded this picture.

The reason I bought this house.  Awesome walk in closet.  It's bigger than this picture shows.  Seriously.  I can fit our dresser in here.

Tub and shower.

Water closet.  Installing a curtain or frosting the glass might be the first thing I do after moving in.

View from family room to front door.

So now you've seen the first floor, minus the garage.  And I figured you could guess what it looked like.  Mine does come with plywood cut to fit all our windows in case of a hurricane.  But again, not that exciting.  What is exciting, is the amount of space we will have.  I do not have enough furniture, but that is a fun problem to overcome.  What do you think?

Awesome ! I love all the room and the hard wood floors. You will really enjoy the house and the family will grow nicely in it. I can't wait to spend time with you all there.
